Specifications

All input (master) should be supplied with a track sheet, referencing title, catalog number and customer name, return address and contact phone number.

 

1. CD-R (CD-Recordable)

Red/orange book compatible (includingPMCD®) recordable CD. The program and PQ points will be identical on the replicated discs. Any changes that need to be made in the PQ points, after media is received, may result in additional editing charges.

2. Compact Disc (Red Book Audio)

A standard production CD. The program and PQ points will be identical on the replicated disc. Any changes that need to be made in the PQ points, after media is received, may result in additional editing charges.

3. SONY PCM-1610/1630 (U-Matic® Tape)

  • Non-drop frame SMPTE time code on auxilary track 2 (should be continuous and must not cross over 00:00:00:00 during program).
  • Program must not start any earlier than 20 seconds into tape (SMPTE time).
  • PQ burst (optional) on auxiliary track 1 (at about :15).
  • On tapes without a PQ burst, a track sheet should be provided with your master media.


4. R-DAT

  • Sampling rates: 44.1 or 48 kHz (44.1 is preferred). Avoid mixed rates on a tape.
  • All tapes with emphasis should be clearly marked.
  • Indexes will be used for track timing when a track sheet is not provided with your master media.
  • Program should not start any earlier than 20 seconds into tape.


5. Exabyte 8500

8500 format DDP encoded (8mm).

6. Analog

  • 1/4" and 1/2"
  • 7.5, 15 & 30 i.p.s.
  • DOLBY® A, DOLBY® SR Noise reduction.

 


Audio Transfer



All CDs submitted must be in good condition with no scratches or imperfections. When ordering, please include all that apply: sample rate, track timing on input media (cue sheet), track timing for CD-ROM, tape format, PC audio file format. When using R-DAT, record Start IDs at the beginning of each audio segment to be included as a CD-ROM track. Include test tones for audio requiring level adjustments.
